Towards a new work

Yesterday marked exactly two weeks since EMOIR's opening, and they've already started working on new products.

I didn't graduate from a fashion school.

I didn't study design.

Despite that, I study every day and also think about design.

I silently drew out ideas on my own and asked people around me for their opinions...

It's a time I really like.

I am grateful to the iPad for supporting me even though I have no experience as a designer.

The only thing I can say about my next work is that "lines" will be the key.

And another one of my favorite times.

The choice of fabric.

The thickness of the fabric, how quickly it dries, how it feels to the touch, its elasticity, etc.

Although it takes a lot of time and I'm constantly indecisive, I love the time I spend selecting from the mountain of fabric samples, feeling the subtle differences in each one.

Speaking personally, since I started preparing to launch my brand, I have started paying closer attention to the quality of the fabric, stitching, etc. when purchasing clothes.

There are some realizations and learnings from that.

When you start looking at things from a different perspective, things become a lot more enjoyable.

So, next week I have a meeting with someone I always commission to create products for me to discuss new products.
